The procedure for making turmeric tea is very simple. First, boil water for approximately 10 minutes, and then add 1/4th turmeric in the boiling water. Now keep it in low flame for another 10 minutes and then strain the solution. You can also add lemon juice, garlic, clove, pepper or whatever the flavor you like to savor.

This turmeric tea is available in different health shops in the form of tea bags. If you don’t want to overstress yourself by preparing it at home, you can easily buy one. It not only helps to reduce back pain, but it also helps to soothe stress and sore throat.

2. Turmeric Milk for Back-pain

Turmeric Milk is a wonderful drink to consume even while you aren’t suffering from any illness. And it delicious too.  You can have turmeric milk before going to bed to effectively relieve yourself from back pain. Add a tablespoon of turmeric powder in a glass of milk and have it.

1. Turmeric with Coconut Oil

Turmeric has the component to reduce your back pain but mixing it up with coconut oil can also be an effective remedy.

The procedure is very simple. You can mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder, 2-3 tablespoon of coconut oil in a container and prepare a thick paste. You can then apply it on your back and massage for 10-15 minutes.

2. Turmeric with Eucalyptus Oil

Eucalyptus like turmeric has pain reducing antioxidant and antiseptic components. This mixture gives quick back pain relief.

Firstly, you add approximately 8 tablespoons of eucalyptus oil with one tablespoon of turmeric. Then massage this mixture in the affected zone. To get the best results, apply it on a daily basis.

3. Turmeric with Basil Leaves

Basil leaves like turmeric contains excellent therapeutic, antiseptic and antioxidant, antifungal properties like Eugenol, Tripernol, and Citronel which helps to ease any kind of pain.

To make this mixture you need turmeric, some water, and a few basil leaves. At first, you have to boil the water and then add the basil leaves and turmeric in it. Boil it for another 10 minutes and then massage it after the solution cools down on your back. You can use 200-300 ml of this solution every day.

Turmeric Prevents Joint Inflammation

The Curcumin component in turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and works on the immune system. A 2006 study showed Turmeric is more effective with respect to preventing joint inflammation than reducing joint inflammation.

A turmeric additive called Meriva (standardized to 75 percent curcumin combined with phosphatidylcholine) gave long-term improvement in pain and 100 patients with knee OA got good results according to a 2010 clinical trial(2).

A curcumin product called BCM-95 lowered joint pain and swelling in active RA patients better than diclofenac, a nonsteroidal an anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called diclofenac, according to a small 2012 pilot study.

The other components of Turmeric are demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin, and turmeric essential oils which are also beneficial for the human body. Turmeric and its components have major beneficial effects on osteoarthritis, type 2 diabetes, and dyslipidemia as per the reports(3).
