Adding a touch of natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup gives it the perfect amount of sweetness without causing your blood sugar to drop later.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup organic full-fat coconut milk (or light)
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon matcha tea powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey, or stevia to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the matcha tea powder to a little amount of hot water in the matcha tea jar or into your favorite mug.
  2. With the help of a bamboo whisk, whisk briskly in an up-and-down direction to prepare a green, thick paste.
  3. Then pour the remaining water and hot coconut milk into the paste and stir. If adding a sweetener, add here.
