Method – 1

Boil 1 liter of water and add 10 to 12 drops of Eucalyptus oil to it. Cover the bowl with a clean dry towel with your head inside. Breathe in deeply through your nose, inhaling the steam for three to four minutes.

Method – 2

Take 2 to 3 tablespoons of carrier oil like coconut oil or almond oil. Add 6 to 7 drops of Eucalyptus oil to this and mix well to an even consistency. Rub this mixture on to the throat and chest to get relief. This method releases congestion and promotes better breathing.

Method – 3

You can prepare your own cough compress with eucalyptus oil. Take 2 cups of distilled water and add 10 to 12 drops of Eucalyptus oil to it. Mix well. Take some pieces of clothes and soak them in this water. Rinse the water and place the soaked clothes on your throat and chest areas.

Method – 4

Fill your bathtub with hot water. Ensure that the temperature of the water is to a level where you can bear it. Now, add 12 to 15 drops of Eucalyptus oil into the bathtub. Have a nice bath by inhaling the aroma. This method also helps in clearing nasal congestion, loosening the mucus, clears the irritation in the throat and suppresses a cough.
