Homemade Brown Sugar Scrubs for Glowing skin

Sugar not only sweetens the desserts, but it can also be used as a fantastic beauty ingredient. This excellent sweetener softens the skin, freshens it up, and exfoliates it like nothing else. It also inhibits the skin from drying and functions as a natural moisturizer.

It helps hydrate the skin by drawing moisture from the environment and preserving it in the skin cells.

Sugar is a superb source of glycolic acid. It passes through the skin cells and leaves you looking rejuvenated and fresh. Sugar scrubs can be conveniently made at home and incorporated into your weekly beauty routine. They work to moisturize, hydrate, and exfoliate the skin naturally.

They enhance the blood flow to the surface of the skin and help eliminate dead cells. Here are some fabulous brown sugar scrubs that you can make and use at home for flawless and beautiful skin.

Brown Sugar Scrub Benefit

1. It’s Rich In Antioxidants

Research asserts that brown sugar can eliminate toxic free radicals. The volatile and phenolic compounds give it its antioxidant properties [1].

2. It Contains AHA

Cane brown sugar is rich in AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid). This compound can penetrate the skin and can break down the compound that binds the skin cells. This promotes cell rejuvenation and regeneration [2].

3. It Exfoliates The Skin Without Harming It

Brown sugar is considerably softer than white granulated sugar. So, it mildly exfoliates the skin without harming it [3].

What more? It keeps the skin hydrated and locks the moisture in. So, the skin does not feel dry at all.
