Ulcers are a cause of worry to many people these days. In simple terms, an abscess is a break in the skin caused due to inflammation. Ulcers can occur in various parts of the body like mouth, stomach, cornea, genitals, foot, anus, rectum, etc.

You could use it directly on the ulcer. You will feel a powerful heat sensation for around 2 minutes. You could also opt for diluting it with olive oil. Wild oregano essential oil can also be used as a gargle. But avoid rinsing your mouth immediately after the gargle.

Directly apply a drop of the oil on the ulcer and leave it for 10 minutes. Now the more time you allow it to dry, the better. A study conducted in the year 2012, claimed that the use of lavender oil reduces the size and the duration that the ulcer could last. Lavender oil is blessed with antibacterial, antiseptic, analgesic, and sedative properties.

Yes, this oil is safe, but it is better not to swallow it, as it is not advisable to consume any essential oil. You could also use this oil in combination with carrier oils like olive oil, coconut oil, or sweet almond oil. The base oil will help to dilute it. You could inhale it for getting relief from pain.
