Today, our lifestyle and beliefs have changed our lives completely. The Pandemic has set new rules in the world today where Negative is the new Positive. Alternate and holistic healers find the body’s negative energy and help eliminate it from our body to let the positive energy in.

Ayurveda is one of the most ancient Alternate healing systems recorded more than 5,000 years ago in Sanskrit. The Atharva Veda is the “knowledge storehouse of atharvāṇas, the procedures for everyday life.”

Everyday living includes Yoga, Meditation, diet, and herbal remedies, which are mainly and widely practiced today worldwide and not only in India. Other techniques used are, such as Reiki, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Auricular, therapy, Sujok, etc. widely and deeply, followed by Asian countries like China, Japan, Thailand.

Homeopathy originated from Germany and Aromatherapy from Greek and so on. The most important part is that alternate or complementary healing is popular and practiced by different names all over the world, but the end result of most techniques is the same. When nothing works, people tend to lean towards alternative resources of healing.

Benefits

Many nonbelievers of Alternate, complementary or holistic healing techniques(1) ask why one should choose this route. Our question to them is, why not? Why do you go to a conventional doctor and trust them to prescribe you drugs that will harm you, even though it will cure you superficially?

Most of the drugs have severe side effects that surface after years. A country like the USA announces how you can file lawsuits to fight forever. Many times you do not even know which drugs were recalled?

On the other hand, if you are in the hands of a well known and experienced Alternate, complementary or holistic healer, you are 90% likely to be healed. You will be surprised to find new energy and no side effects. Many of my clients ask me, so fewer people tend to follow these modalities.

There is only one reason, and that is a lack of trust and patience. You are ready to intake expensive drugs prescribed by your conventional doctor and go back if that drug did not help you. You have already introduced your body to foreign chemicals that it does not know to respond to.

Then, why cannot you trust therapy and have the patience to give it a try till your healer asks you to change the treatment? Any good alternate or holistic healer will never keep working on your body if they cannot give results in the first few sittings. Your body knows to heal itself.

All therapists do, is trigger the flow of your energy in its proper direction. A good healer will always combine modalities for better and faster results.

Benefits of Alternative Medicine

  • Alternate healing help detox your body naturally
  • It has no side effects and even a child as young as six months can get the treatment
  • Unlike conventional medicine, it heals the root cause of many ailments.

Different Modalities of Alternative Medicine

1. Reflexology

This Modality falls under the Alternate healing therapy of Acupressure or better than Acupuncture. *Reflex-o-therapy* also known as *zone therapy*, which gives pressure or massage along the meridians located in our feet.

When pressure or stimulation is applied to a reflex point area, a message is sent from that point or area to the brain, which produces an endorphin release. Thus a “cause and effect” response is created.

2. Sujok

This modality has picked up its popularity in Asian countries and in the USA too. The pressure is applied to the points that correspond to various body parts intending to eliminate blockages to reduce pain. The goal is to bring the body into balance and to remove blockages of energy along the meridians.

This alternate therapy has been evolved by south Korean scientist Prof. Park Jae Woo. This therapy, when compared to other methods of alternate treatment, sujok is simple and uncomplicated; it can be compared with the best self-cure methods known to man today. Many receiving this treatment are unaware of its name.

The therapist uses Magnets, seeds, cupping, and moxibustion (a form of heat) under Sujok. Magnets, seeds, and heat are mainly used to stimulate stagnant energy in your body.

3. Auricular Therapy

This is also a part of Sujok or Acupressure, where points are used on your ear to heal different body parts. Tiny seeds are used for better results. The medical world has changed. Yes, the conventional medical world is also looking into these ancient modalities of healing.

Giving a new boost for healers to dust away from the rust on their books of ancient healing techniques, we find numerous modalities in each holistic and alternate healing practice. Many different Alternate healing therapies and modalities exist.
