We heard many times that ‘How and What we eat affects us’ and that’s actually true, the things we consume will directly affect our health not only at the physical level but also at the mental level and we all witnessed this. Eat a balanced diet that contains all the 6 Rasa’s (Taste) mentioned as per Ayurvedic classics. As per Ayurveda, there are different Prakruti’s means everybody has his own body constitution, which makes them different or unique from everyone. But we can categorize everyone in the three categories depending upon the predominance of Dosha, such as Vataj Prakruti, Pittaj Prakruti, and Kaphaj Prakruti(1).
So, there are some guidelines to be followed and to be avoided in such conditions to maintain optimal levels of doshas in the body.
For Example, in the case of Vataj Prakruti, you should consume the foods which are slimy, unctuous, heavy, hot in potency, Madhura (Sweet), Amla (Sour), Lavana (Salt), etc. foods. But reduce the use of Dry, Cold, Light, Tikta (Bitter), Katu (Pungent), and Kashaya (Astringent) foods.
In the case of Pitta Prakruti, you should consume foods that are Cold, Dry, Madhura (Sweet), Tikta (Bitter), Kashaya (Astringent). But reduce the use of Hot, Spicy, Amla (Sour), Lavan (Salt), and Katu (Pungent) foods.
In Kapha Prakruti, you should consume hot, dry, light, Tikta (Bitter), Katu (Pungent) Kashaya (Astringent) foods. But reduce the use of Dry, Cold, Madhura (Sweet), Amla (Sour), and Lavana (Salt) foods.
Here, we are talking about Water, It’s really an utmost requirement of the body to fill it with fluids or stay hydrated to gear up the processes inside the body.

Yes, sometimes no to food is a great opportunity to improve your health. Here it means you should do fasting once a while, or those who can’t stay empty stomach can do intermittent fasting. It will give a small nap to your digestive system that will curb the toxins and improve your digestive fire.

But there are some people who are totally non –vegetarians, so, for them, it’s an advice to try to add veggies in your plan and reduce the intake of non-vegetarian diet unless or until it’s a requirement of the body due to any health condition.
