21 Simple Home Remedies to Cure Boils At Home

Skin boils or skin abscess is one of the common skin infections seen in people of all age groups. Boils are large and hard pimples that are filled with pus in the center. Boils generally begin with tenderness and redness of your skin. When the skin becomes tender, certain white blood cells, proteins and bacteria get filled in the center of the boil and form pus.

Generally, the boils are painful and tender to touch and are found in various forms like cystic acne and pilonidal cyst. Boils may occur in any part of your body and are highly contagious.

How to get rid of a boil at Home?

Boils can be cured at home with simple natural home remedies. The common remedies used for curing boils include the following:

1. Milk

Milk is an ancient home remedy used as a cure for boils. Take a cup of milk and heat it and add three teaspoons of salt in it. Mix all the ingredients well. You can also add some bread crumbs to this mixture for a better consistency.

Take this thick mixture and apply on your boils. You can repeat this process several times a day for quick relief.  You can also use milk cream to heal your boils.

2. Warm Compress

You should not try to pull out pus because it can spread infection and make the situation worse. Take a clean cloth and dip it in warm water containing salt. Place this warm cloth on your boils for 10-15 minutes daily. You can use the same remedy 5-6 times daily to cure boils naturally.

3. Turmeric

Turmeric is an ancient remedy used to cure boils and other skin infections. Turmeric(1) has an anti-inflammatory property that helps in curing boils. Take a glass of warm milk and stir a spoon of turmeric in it. Drink this herbal mixture 2-3 times a day as a natural cure for boils.

8. Bacon

9. Cornmeal

Cornmeal is one of the best home cures for boils. It is generally considered as a natural absorbent. Take half cup of boiling water and add some cornmeal in it to form a thick paste.
