Migraine is a severe, painful headache that is generally preceded by sensory warning signs.  The exact cause of migraine headache is generally unknown and it is mainly due to abnormal brain activity that causes a temporary alteration in the nerve signals and blood flow in the brain.

Migraine is more common in women when compared to men. Migraine can affect people of all age groups. Migraine is usually misdiagnosed as tension-type headache or sinus headache. While suffering with migraine, you can clearly identify the triggers that can cause migraine headache.

Migraine can be cured with many natural home remedies like:

  1. Caffeine

Caffeine is a common home remedy used as a natural cure for migraine. Caffeine mainly helps in restricting your blood vessels and can lessen your pain. Caffeine is also a constituent in many pain medicines that are used for quick relief.

In few cases caffeine can also trigger migraine headache and make situation worse. You need to monitor yourself to identify the triggers that causes migraine headache.

  1. Fish oil

Peppermint is one of the effective natural cures for migraine. Peppermint is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Peppermint oil helps in soothing your nerves and also has an anti-spasmodic effect and calming effect on your body. According to a research study, peppermint fragrance helps in inducing the felling that is associated with migraine headache relief.

This herb helps in alleviating the pain associated with migraine by reducing inflammation in the blood vessels in the brain. The standard dosage of feverfew herb is 250 mg per day. It is better to consult your doctor before using this herb as a natural cure for migraine.

Gingko biloba is an ancient home remedy used to cure migraine. This herb is used from thousands of years as an herbal remedy for many diseases. The leaves of Gingko Biloba contain flavonoids and terpenoids. These chemicals act as antioxidants that attack the free radical and damage the cells.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Take one tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar and add it to glass of water. Mix one tablespoon of honey to it and drink it daily to prevent and cure migraine.

You can take one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar during migraine attack or when you feel it has been triggered. The dosage can be gradually increased to 2-3 tablespoons depending on the severity of headache.
